Veduga is a project for the development of a promising deposit of stubborn ore with a high gold content. The processing plant includes areas for crushing, crushing, flotation, filtration and drying of concentrate. The finished products will be processed at the Amur Hydrometallurgical Combine.
The investment project included in the Yenisei Siberia CIP was implemented by Polymetal.
The amount of project financing: about 50 billion rubles.
The investment project implementation period is 2024-2026.
Production capacity: 2.2 million tons of ore per year.
Number of jobs: 1,500
The development of Veduga involves combined open-pit and underground mining operations. Mining of ore in the quarry began in 2024, it was accumulated in a warehouse. The raw materials from the underground mine will be put into production in 2029. It is planned that by 2026 ore production will reach 1 million tons.
GRK Amikan has systems for dispatching quarry transport (Polymetal's own development) and positioning drilling rigs. A closed wireless broadband communication network using LTE technology will be deployed in 2025. The territory has year-round transport accessibility. A modern shift settlement has been built at the Veduga production site, including a canteen, a shop, a gym, a medical unit and rest rooms.
The company carries out work to preserve biodiversity: it implements a reforestation project, releases Siberian sturgeon fry into local reservoirs. The connection to the Unified National Electric Grid made it possible to eliminate the generation of electricity using diesel installations, thereby significantly reducing the carbon footprint. The company's enrichment plant uses a closed water cycle to reduce water intake from natural sources.
