XX All-Russian Specialized Forum-Exhibition "Modern Security Systems – Antiterrorism"
The XX All-Russian Specialized Forum and Exhibition "Modern Security Systems – Antiterrorism" was held in Krasnoyarsk from May 20 to 22. The business program was attended by about 1.5 thousand experts in the field of countering terrorism and ensuring integrated security. In total, more than 12 thousand people attended the events and venues organized at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Siberia. The forum was operated by the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation.
"With the support of the National Anti–Terrorism Committee and the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, the forum is being held for the twentieth time," said Alexander Ivanov, Head of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Governor's Office for Security. – His popularity is growing in professional circles and among the public audience, and his interregional and international geography is expanding. We discussed topics dictated by the most acute modern threats, exchanged experiences in the most important areas of terrorism prevention, and paid special attention to the protection of citizens. We are developing our youth and training formats on various aspects of public and personal safety. I am sincerely convinced that the knowledge and experience gained at the forum will contribute to improving preventive work in the field."
This year's forum was dedicated to countering the ideology of terrorism. On the opening day, a plenary session was held, at which representatives of the leadership of the office of the National Antiterrorist Committee, federal ministries, departments and public organizations spoke. Experts presented reports on the practical aspects of countering the ideology of terrorism in modern conditions, the implementation of anti-terrorist projects and educational work with students.
One of the key events was an interdepartmental seminar-meeting on anti-terrorist security of critical infrastructure facilities. Participants from the industrial sector discussed the safety of fuel and energy, transport and defense facilities. A number of discussion platforms were also held as part of the business program.
During the forum, various events, educational and interactive platforms for the whole family were organized at the MIBC Siberia. Demonstration performances by employees of specialized departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia aroused particular interest. Playgrounds for children were open every day, where they taught first aid rules, fire safety, and behavior on water, railways, and highways in a playful way. Participants were awarded prizes for completing tasks.
