Mining of niobium and rare earth metals

Establishment of production facilities for the extraction and processing of rare earth metals and niobium. Rare earth metals are used in metallurgy, chemical and ceramic industries. Niobium is used in the nuclear industry, as well as for superconducting materials.

The advantage of the project:

In the Russian Federation, only 3 organizations are engaged in the extraction and enrichment of rare earth metals. However, there are no such companies in the Siberian Federal District.

• Long-term growth in global prices for rare earth metals (+126% CAGR) and niobium (+8% CAGR)
• Large reserves of rare earth metals and niobium
• The volume of exports of base metals, including niobium, from Russia has tended to increase over the past five years. Imports of base metals are also increasing
