Mining and processing of iron ore (modernization of production)

A project to create a mining and processing plant in the Krasnoyarsk Territory based on existing iron ore deposits. Iron ore is used in the rocket and military industries, as well as in mechanical engineering.

Advantages of the project:

• The initiator of the project is Sibsulfur LLC.
• One of the largest private companies in the Russian Federation for marketing by-products obtained during oil and gas processing.
• One of the largest suppliers of inert materials and energy coals in Central and Eastern Siberia.
• Imports industrial chemicals and fertilizers

Background:

• Availability of a production site with ready-made infrastructure, valid licenses and a ready-made field development project.
• Location at the existing Bolshaya Irba railway station with a cargo turnover capacity of more than 3 million tons per year.
• Equidistance from both Russian and foreign consumers.
• Khakassia has several operating deposits for the extraction of primary iron ore concentrate, which may become an additional source of raw materials for the organization of pellet production in the future.
• An operating lime production facility is located 45 km away, which can fully cover the needs for lime and limestone. 
• Coal mining enterprises are located on the territory of the Republic of Khakassia, at a distance of no more than 200 km, which can fully meet the plant's demand for energy coal used for technological and energy needs.
