Production of catalysts

Construction of a complex for the production of automotive catalysts or catalysts for oil refining. Krastsvetmet affinates almost the entire volume of platinoids in Russia, while the main application of platinoids is in the composition of catalysts, mainly in the automotive industry.

• 70-100% share of imports for certain types of catalysts in oil refining totaling more than 26 billion rubles per year


• ~30% share of automotive catalyst imports in the Russian market


• 25-27% return on assets of Russian autocatalyst manufacturers

Background:

• The long-term trend towards stricter environmental requirements will support the demand for catalysts in the automotive, oil refining and energy industries.
• The proximity of the supplier of aluminum oxide for the production of industrial catalysts, the Achinsk Alumina Combine, and large consumers of final products, the Achinsk Refinery and the Nazarovskaya GRES
• The share of domestic catalysts used in Russian oil refineries has reached 76%, an increase from 32% in 2014.
