Construction of a plant for the production of impregnated supports for overhead power lines (transmission lines), communications and railway sleepers of type I and II.

Advantages of the project:

• BELKRAS LLC has been supplying larch–bordered power transmission poles to IDGC of Siberia for more than 15 years.;
• Good mechanical properties (bending, compression, tear resistance, twisting);
• High insulation performance – fewer insulators, no need for lightning protection cable (35-110 kV);
• Resistance to wind and ice;
• Ease of transportation and installation (low weight, accessibility in hard-to-reach places);
• Durability (service life – 45-50 years);
• Cheaper than reinforced concrete analogues.

Background:

• Wooden supports are common in Europe (Finland, Latvia, France, Greece);
• In Finland, they are even used for 110 kV transmission lines (SFS 2662 standard);
• Service life in Latvia is more than 100 years;
• In 2024, there is an active demand for power transmission poles, especially within the framework of state projects (for example, bridge crossings) and network modernization;
• The length of serviced power transmission lines in IDGC of Siberia as a whole is 249,891 km.
