The Faktoria Company, a resident of the Arctic zone, has commissioned the first meat processing complex in the village of Nosok on the territory of the Taimyr Peninsula.
The main area of work of the complex is to provide residents of Taimyr, Norilsk industrial district and the Krasnoyarsk Territory as a whole with high–quality, environmentally friendly products of local reindeer husbandry. The total investment in the project amounted to about 83 million rubles. The company has created 50 jobs for the indigenous residents of the village of Nosok.
"The Faktoria complex meets all the requirements of the Ministry of Agriculture and international standards for slaughtering and processing deer meat," said Sergey Kostyrko, Managing Director of UMPC Faktoria LLC. – The complex was built as part of the reindeer husbandry development program, and we are currently negotiating with the regional government to support reindeer husbandry, following the example of neighboring regions, Yamal and Yakutia. Such support measures involve subsidizing the purchase price of venison from a reindeer herder, which, firstly, allows accounting for the meat sold, secondly, financially support a particular producer by subsidizing an increase in purchase prices, and, thirdly, motivate reindeer herders to increase their livestock. Thanks to this project, the attractiveness of reindeer husbandry in Taimyr is increasing, and consumers are gaining access to domestic reindeer husbandry products."
Consulting support at the stage of application preparation, as well as assistance in obtaining government support measures and implementing the investment project of UMPC Faktoria LLC, was provided by the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation, which serves as a management company for working with residents of the Arctic zone in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
The AZRF is the largest economic zone with a single set of tax and administrative preferences for investment activities. Currently, 31 residents are implementing their projects in the Arctic zone of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, and the total investment is 37.6 billion rubles.
Applications for the status of a resident of the Russian Arctic are submitted on the Investment Portal of the Arctic Zone of Russia. When registering, the applicant must specify the basic parameters of the planned project, after which they can access their personal account, which contains the forms of documents required to obtain the status of a resident of the Russian Arctic.
