Construction of the second power unit continues at Krasnoyarsk TPP-3. The workers have already covered the end of the main building of the station with wall panels and proceeded to install the main and auxiliary equipment of the second power unit indoors. The power unit is being built as part of a project to increase the capacity of Krasnoyarsk CHPP-3, which is included in the Yeniseiskaya Sibir CIP.
A heating system has already been installed in the turbine and boiler rooms, as well as in the pumping station building, which will allow specialists to continue working throughout the winter. 727 people from 13 contractors are involved in the construction site.
The installation work has been completed by more than half: 7.5 thousand tons of 13 thousand tons of metal structures and equipment have already been completed. 41 pieces of equipment are used.
A tower cooling tower is also growing, a device designed to cool water with an air stream. Currently, the structure consists of five tiers out of the planned eight.
The second power unit of the Krasnoyarsk CHPP-3 is being built in order to provide the regional capital with additional thermal energy for further development. The project provides for a modern emission purification system: an electrostatic precipitator with a 99.9% efficiency of cleaning solid particles will be built here – such SGCs are currently installed at all urban thermal power plants. And the cooling tower under construction will reduce the thermal load on the reservoir and reduce the amount of water used by cooling and returning the resource to the technological process.
The construction of the second power unit is scheduled to be completed at the end of 2024. In total, about 27.5 billion rubles will be invested in the development of Krasnoyarsk TPP-3.
