Krasnoyarsk companies expand cooperation with Norilsk Nickel

A business mission for the development of cooperative relations between manufacturers of the Krasnoyarsk Territory and enterprises of the Norilsk division of Norilsk Nickel has completed its work in Norilsk. The event was initiated by the Ministry of Industry, Energy, Housing and Communal Services of the Krasnoyarsk Territory with the support of PJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel and the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation.
The business mission was attended by representatives of enterprises of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, including 17 companies from the Register of Suppliers and Contractors of Yenisei Siberia, of which 6 companies are participants in the Our Champions project, which has been implemented by the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation since March 2022.
"We would like to express our deep gratitude to the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Housing, Norilsk Nickel for organizing this event, and also thank the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation for inviting us to participate in the business mission. Holding such events provides an opportunity for companies to establish communication directly with a potential customer, discuss current problems and promising areas of development. The meetings with representatives of Norilsk Nickel were successful, thanks to the business mission, we have strengthened our ties with the company, and further success depends on us, and we will do everything necessary to conclude new contracts and take advantage of the opportunity provided to us," said Oleg Lemdyanov, Technical Director of Novaya Energiya LLC.
As part of the business mission, an orientation meeting was held on cooperation in the field of production, industry and business of the region with Norilsk Nickel enterprises. Alexander Ananyev, Acting Minister of Industry, Energy, Housing and Communal Services of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, and Nikolai Utkin, Senior Vice President and Head of the Norilsk Division of Norilsk Nickel, became the main persons of the meeting.
"Over the past two years alone, Norilsk Nickel's costs for purchasing products from manufacturers and services in the Krasnoyarsk Territory have more than doubled, from 22.3 billion rubles in 2020 to 51.5 billion rubles in 2022. The current situation forces us to act more and more actively in the direction of import substitution. In addition, a large-scale housing renovation and social environment development program is in full swing in Norilsk. The total cost of the program is estimated at 120 billion rubles, of which two thirds – 81.3 billion – were allocated by Norilsk Nickel. It is also important for us to involve regional manufacturers and service providers in this area," Nikolai Utkin explained.
The participants of the business mission were introduced to the organization of procurement activities of the Polar Branch of Norilsk Nickel and Russian corporate organizations. The event also included a visit to the facilities of the Norilsk division, discussion of questions and suggestions, exchange of contacts and business negotiations in the B2B format between manufacturers of the Krasnoyarsk Territory and representatives of Norilsk Nickel.
