Valery Semenov, Deputy Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, addressed the participants of the event with a welcoming speech.:
"The Krasnoyarsk Territory is one of the largest and dynamically developing regions of Russia. A rich mineral resource base, affordable energy resources, a powerful industry, and a good geographical location are our main competitive advantages. According to the results of the first half of 2023, the foreign trade turnover of our region with Turkey increased almost 3 times. Today, Turkey ranks 4th in terms of trade turnover among 92 trading partner countries. I am sure that through joint efforts we will continue to strengthen this trend. It is gratifying that we are holding a presentation of our region's economic, investment and tourism opportunities in Istanbul for the second time. So, exactly one year ago, more than 100 Turkish companies showed interest in our presentation. 5 cooperation agreements were signed, providing for the development of cooperation on the implementation of the Yenisei Siberia CIP and an increase in trade volumes. And today our partners are already present in the hall, ready to continue their joint cooperation."
