The Day of the Far East and the Arctic was held at the international exhibition and forum "Russia", which takes place in Moscow, at VDNH. One of the most striking events was the presentation of the achievements of the Far Eastern and Arctic regions.
Before the presentation of the heads of regions, Alexey Chekunkov, Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, spoke.

These are real, strong, experienced people, these are the endless riches of the bowels, this is a bright expressive, incredible nature, and this is the future. This is where the future of Russia is being created now. The unconditional priority announced by our President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin for the development of the Far East and the Arctic is being implemented by the government, implemented by all regional teams. And, of course, it is implemented by people on duty, on duty, by people who teach, who treat, who live in these most amazing territories — in the Far East and in the Arctic."
Investment and tourism opportunities of the Krasnoyarsk Territory were presented by Sergey Ladyzhenko, General Director of the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation. The Corporation performs the functions of a management company for working with residents of the Arctic zone in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
Sergey Ladyzhenko noted that 23% of the entire Arctic zone of the Russian Federation is located in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, so the topic of its development is one of the key ones for the region's economy.
Sergey Ladyzhenko, General Director of the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation: "Currently, 31 residents of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation are registered in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. 37.6 billion rubles will be invested in the projects implemented by the companies, and more than 1,700 new jobs will be created. Arctic residents' initiatives are being implemented in a wide variety of industries: These are tourism, services, information technology, manufacturing, construction, trade and others. The largest of the projects is the development of the Syradasai coal deposit. The project is being implemented by the Severnaya Zvezda company, which in 2020 became the first resident of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. At the end of 2022, the company began shipping coal from the field along the Northern Sea Route, — said Sergey Ladyzhenko. — One of the important tasks of the Corporation is to develop investment proposals, including those proposed for implementation in the Arctic zone of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Among such investment proposals are the production of building materials, the construction of tourist complexes and hotels, transport and logistics complexes and others."
Sergey Ladyzhenko also took part in the round table "Tourism in the Far East and the Arctic: state support and the potential of the regions", which was held as part of the business program of the Day of the Far East and the Arctic. At the event, experts discussed which measures of state support for the development of the industry are most important, how cooperation between regional and federal tour operators is being built and how to increase the tourist attractiveness of the regions.
Arctic tourism is one of the most promising and relevant areas of development of the tourism industry in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The Arctic zone of the region contains cultural heritage sites, federal and regional specially protected natural areas, including one of the most unique places on the planet – the Putorana Plateau.
Recall that the international exhibition and forum "Russia" is the most important achievements of the country, gathered on one site.
