The new resident of the Arctic zone, the Faktoria company, is creating the first meat processing complex on the territory of the Taimyr Peninsula in the village of Nosok.
The main area of work of the complex is to provide residents of Taimyr, Norilsk industrial district and the Krasnoyarsk Territory as a whole with high–quality, environmentally friendly products of local reindeer husbandry. It is planned that UMPC Faktoria LLC will start operating in September this year, with a total investment of about 83 million rubles.
"The company's facilities are capable of receiving up to 10,000 head of domestic reindeer per year in the coming years," said Sergey Kostyrko, Managing Director of UMPC Faktoria LLC. – During the implementation of the project, the company will create up to 50 jobs for the indigenous residents of the village of Nosok. The support measures provided for companies that have received the status of residents of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation will allow our company to significantly reduce the cost of the company's products, and therefore the price of products for the end user, as well as ensure stable acceptance of local reindeer husbandry products, which will contribute to the reorientation of reindeer herders from antler to more socially significant meat reindeer husbandry."
Consulting support at the stage of application preparation, as well as assistance in obtaining government support measures and implementing the investment project of UMPC Faktoria LLC, was provided by the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation, which serves as a management company for working with residents of the Arctic zone in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
The AZRF is the largest economic zone with a single set of tax and administrative preferences for investment activities. Currently, 24 residents are implementing their projects in the Arctic zone of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, and the total investment is 37 billion rubles.
The Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation and the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation signed an agreement aimed at implementing joint projects in the field of sustainable development of the Arctic territories of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The document provides for the joint development of recommendations to improve the quality of life of the population, as well as joint participation in activities related to the implementation of investment projects in the Arctic region.
Applications for the status of a resident of the Russian Arctic are submitted on the Investment Portal of the Arctic Zone of Russia. When registering, the applicant must specify the basic parameters of the planned project, after which they can access their personal account, which contains the forms of documents required to obtain the status of a resident of the Russian Arctic.
