The Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Mikhail Kotyukov met with the management of the Russian Platinum company during a working trip to Moscow. The parties discussed the implementation of an investment project to create a large mining cluster in the Norilsk Industrial district based on the Chernogorsky field and the southern part of the Norilsk-1 field. The project is included in the KIP "Yenisei Siberia".
The company's management informed the head of the region that the work is proceeding as planned: a quarry, an enrichment plant, a thermal power plant and the necessary infrastructure are being built, the main technological equipment has been replaced with samples produced by Russia and friendly countries.
The design capacity of the first stage is designed to produce 7 million tons of ore per year with an increase to 14 million tons after the introduction of the second stage. 1.6 thousand jobs will be created.
It should be noted that the project is being implemented with the financial support of the Russian Development Institute "VEB. RF" and VTB Bank. The parties also discussed the participation of Russian Platinum in the preparation and implementation of the action plan for the celebration of the 400th anniversary of the city of Krasnoyarsk in 2028.
