The construction of the ZIF-5 gold recovery plant is on schedule

Alexey Moiseev, Deputy Minister of Finance of Russia, and Nikolay Margaritov, Deputy Director of the Department of State Regulation of the Precious Metals and Precious Stones Industry of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, visited the Olympiadinsky Mining and Processing Plant in the Severo-Yeniseysky district on a working trip. The federal delegation was accompanied by Sergey Vereshchagin, Chairman of the Government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
During the visit, the guests visited the GOK's key production facilities, got acquainted with the processes and features of the production chain. The acquaintance with modern gold mining began with a visit to the Production Management Center, whose employees use modern automation and digitalization systems to monitor the operation of equipment in quarries. This approach helps to distribute all available cargo traffic, promptly eliminate downtime, monitor the condition of roads and key indicators of special equipment, up to the amount of fuel in each individual car.
The next point of the visit of representatives of the Ministry of Finance was the Vostochny quarry, the largest gold mining quarry in Russia. Today, its depth reaches 780 meters.
During the visit, representatives of the Russian Ministry of Finance also visited the construction site of a new gold recovery plant – ZIF-5 at the Blagodatnoye deposit. The construction of ZIF-5 for ore processing with a capacity of 8.3 million tons per year is the main investment project of the Polyus company in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, it is included in the Yenisei Siberia KIP. The project will increase the ore processing capacity at the existing deposit to 17 million tons and the volume of gold production by about 9 tons. In addition, the implementation of the project will create more than 350 new jobs.
Sergey Zhuravlev, Vice President for Government Relations at Polyus: "In 2023, two thirds of the total gold produced by the company was produced at the Olympiadinsky GOK. In addition to the scale of production, which really impresses the guests of our production site, Polyus also has the most modern process automation systems. Gold mining today is a complex and high–tech process, and we are glad that great attention is being paid to the support of the gold mining industry in our country today by federal government agencies, in particular the Ministry of Finance of Russia."
Chairman of the Government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Sergey Vereshchagin: "The Severo-Yenisei district is an important gold mining center for the country and one of the key investment development sites in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. It is important for us that the announced projects implemented here are implemented in a timely manner and in full. Our task is to create the necessary conditions for this, to support the investor and to provide transport and social infrastructure to employees of enterprises and residents of the district."
