On the eve of the 19th Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum, in Moscow, at the Permanent Mission of the Krasnoyarsk Territory to the Government of the Russian Federation, an expert session "Foreign economic cooperation of the regions of Yenisei Siberia with foreign countries" and a presentation of KEF-2023 took place.
The Russian side was represented by members of the Department of Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, representatives of the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation and the Siberian Federal University.
The event was attended by representatives of about 20 countries. Among them are representatives of the business circles of India, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Thailand and China, participants from Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, South Ossetia, Mongolia, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Djibouti, Algeria, Angola, Rwanda, Brazil, Nigeria.
The foreign guests were introduced to the current directions of socio-economic development of Siberia, presented the investment potential of the regions of Yenisei Siberia: Krasnoyarsk Territory, Tuva and Khakassia.
Sergey Vereshchagin, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, noted that the Krasnoyarsk Territory is one of the largest and dynamically developing regions of the Russian Federation. Its competitive advantages are a powerful material and raw material base, the availability of energy resources, a powerful industry, and a good geographical location.
"Our region is among the top ten in terms of macroeconomic indicators, such as industrial production, gross regional product and investment volume. This is largely due to the implementation of the Yenisei Siberia integrated investment project, which was supported by Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2018," the Deputy Prime Minister noted.
Sergey Ladyzhenko, General Director of the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation, presented the key projects of the Yenisei Siberia KIP to the participants of the event, and also spoke about possible areas of cooperation.
Foreign delegations were also presented with the business program of the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum "Time of Siberia", which will be held from March 1 to 3, and invited guests to take part in the forum. It should be noted that one of the thematic areas of the forum is focused on the "eastern vector" and interaction with the countries of Asia, the Middle East and Africa, taking into account the current economic and geopolitical situation.
