Residents of the Krasnoyarsk Technological Valley will invest 7 billion rubles in aluminum processing

The united company RUSAL, together with residents, intends to invest 7 billion rubles in the development of a special economic zone of the industrial and production type "Krasnoyarsk Technological Valley".
This was announced by Evgeny Nikitin, CEO of UC RUSAL, during the discussion platform "Development of industrial zones of the Russian Federation – best practices" at the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum.
"In order to achieve a high share of aluminum consumption per capita in relation to global indicators, it is necessary to develop and increase deep metal processing, and not just sell primary aluminum," Yevgeny Nikitin stressed.
The Krasnoyarsk Technological Valley Special Economic Zone was established in accordance with the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation dated December 29, 2020. The purpose of the investment project included in the Yeniseiskaya Sibir KIP is to create new production facilities, including in the field of rental, production of equipment and aluminum products for aviation and mechanical engineering. Currently, five companies have received the status of residents of the Krasnoyarsk Technological Valley SEZ: Henkon Siberia LLC, Spetstechnomash JSC, Siberian Aluminum Discs LLC, Phoenix Factory LLC, Siberian Profile LLC.
During the discussion, the head of RUSAL also recalled that work is currently underway to create the Khakass Technological Valley SEZ: "In September 2022, RUSAL signed an agreement with the Government of the Republic of Khakassia on the development of a similar technological valley in Sayanogorsk. A completely new foil production facility will be built here. These products are in demand in the construction, automotive, food industry and so on."
Recall that a special economic zone is a territory that has a special legal status and a special regime for conducting business. SEZ residents are provided with tax and administrative preferences: preferential tax rates on profits, property and land, provision of land plots for long-term lease at reduced rates without competition, and others.
