Representatives of more than 20 countries assessed the possibilities of cooperation with the Krasnoyarsk Territory

Diplomatic representatives and business associations of foreign countries were presented with the economic, tourist and cultural potential of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The event dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the region's formation was held at the Moscow representative office of the region. The presentation was attended by the ambassadors of the Republics of South Ossetia, Abkhazia, Angola, Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama, Honduras, Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Mozambique, as well as representatives of the embassies of the Republics of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Brazil, Djibouti, Rwanda, India, Nigeria, the Kingdom of Bahrain, Malaysia, Mongolia, the United Mexican States States.
Chairman of the Government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Sergey Vereshchagin thanked the foreign guests for their attention to the region and noted that the most important advantage of the region is its location, which allows it to be a logistics hub between Europe and Asia.
Sergey Vereshchagin, Chairman of the Government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory: "The Krasnoyarsk Territory is a reference region, which is located in the very center of Russia. The largest transport arteries pass through us – the federal highway “Siberia” and the Trans-Siberian Railway. Our Yenisei River, the most abundant in the country, has access to the Northern Sea Route. A number of major projects in the field of oil production, metal ore extraction and metallurgy are being implemented in the region. We offer you cooperation in these and other areas. We have created comfortable conditions for doing business. The region is included in the top forest regions of the country. We are developing wood processing and actively engaged in reforestation. Agriculture is also well developed in the region. For a number of years, our farmers have been demonstrating the best grain yields in Siberia."
Representatives of international business associations noted that such presentations are very useful for entrepreneurs, the possibility of direct dialogue contributes to strengthening international business ties.
Ahmet Ertekin, Vice President of SMK Holding (Turkey): "Our construction holding has returned to Russia, and we are looking for a region with which we could cooperate. We learned with interest about the possibilities of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. It has been heard about before, but now we see that many projects are being implemented or planned here, which means that there is great potential in the construction sector."
Sergey Vereshchagin made a presentation of the investment potential and noted that after the main report, representatives of foreign business circles were actively interested in opportunities to participate in projects implemented in the territory of the region in various industries. Also during the presentation, the participants discussed issues of humanitarian, cultural and sports cooperation between the countries.
