A new resident of the Arctic zone plans to launch a crushing plant in Norilsk

The new resident of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation (AZ RF) in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Forward LLC, plans to build a crushing plant in Norilsk.
The company received resident status in March of this year, and the plant is scheduled to be launched by the end of 2024. It is planned that the crushing plant's production capacity will be up to 1,000 m3 of crushed stone per day: this will increase the availability of high-quality material for road repairs and maintenance. The estimated investment in the project is 15 million rubles.
"We plan to sell the finished products to construction companies in Norilsk for filling out territories for landscaping purposes, as well as to companies engaged in road construction. During the implementation of the project, 20 jobs will be created," said Sergey Fomin, CEO of Forward LLC.
Consulting support at the stage of application preparation, as well as assistance in obtaining government support measures and implementing the investment project of Forward LLC, was provided by the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation, which serves as a management company for working with residents of the Arctic zone in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Thanks to cooperation with the Norilsk Development Agency and the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, the entrepreneur managed to lease a land plot of more than 160 thousand square meters without bidding.
The AZRF is the largest economic zone with a single set of tax and administrative preferences for investment activities. Currently, 26 residents are implementing their projects in the Arctic zone of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, and the total investment is 37 billion rubles.
The Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation and the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation signed an agreement aimed at implementing joint projects in the field of sustainable development of the Arctic territories of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The document provides for the joint development of recommendations to improve the quality of life of the population, as well as joint participation in activities related to the implementation of investment projects in the Arctic region.
Applications for the status of a resident of the Russian Arctic are submitted on the Investment Portal of the Arctic Zone of Russia. When registering, the applicant must specify the basic parameters of the planned project, after which they can access their personal account, which contains the forms of documents required to obtain the status of a resident of the Russian Arctic.
