The first stage of reconstruction of the aircraft apron has been completed at the Dmitry Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk International Airport. The result of the work was evaluated by Mikhail Kotyukov, Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, together with Natalia Andrianova, Deputy Head of the Federal Air Transport Agency, and Sergey Alexandrovsky, CEO of Aeroflot PJSC.
Work on the second stage was started in April 2022. As a result of the reconstruction, the apron area was expanded to 111 thousand square meters, the number of aircraft parking lots was increased (it was 12 – it became 16), and the time for ground handling of aircraft at Krasnoyarsk airport was optimized. In particular, two parking lots are equipped with specialized sites where aircraft will be treated with de-icing liquid. Lighting equipment for aircraft maintenance has been installed. Earlier, in 2017-2018, the work of the first stage of the first stage of reconstruction was completed – the site in the area of terminal No. 1.
The implementation of the project will increase the level of aviation security, increase the airport's capacity and reduce the cost of maintenance of planar structures.
Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Mikhail Kotyukov: "The development of the Krasnoyarsk airport is proceeding at a high pace. In recent years, major transformations have been carried out at this important infrastructure facility, including with the support of the President of Russia. Today, the airport has a new modern terminal, convenient for passengers. The reconstruction of the main taxiway made it possible to receive and send twice as many aircraft into the sky. The route network is expanding, the number of flights is increasing, and the quality of passenger service is increasing. And thanks to Aeroflot, the air harbor received a new impetus to development, becoming a second home for the air carrier. This obliges us to a lot. At the same time, there is a need to recreate the maintenance base for aircraft. There is a good engineering school in Krasnoyarsk, they know how to work with complex aviation equipment here. We will also develop this area of cooperation. I am sure that all this will lead to the creation of new jobs and to increased transport accessibility of various routes."
The reconstruction of the apron is one of the key factors for the implementation of the project of an international transport and logistics hub included in the Yeniseiskaya Sibir KIP.
Evgeny Vladimirov, General Director of Yemelyanovo Airport LLC: "The completed first stage of reconstruction is another important step in the modernization of the airfield infrastructure of our air harbor, aimed primarily at improving aviation security and increasing airport capacity. A qualitatively updated apron will ensure the improvement of production with the introduction of new technologies, which will reduce the environmental burden and increase the level of qualification of employees of the aviation hub. And this will undoubtedly improve the quality of life in the Krasnoyarsk Territory."
The plans include the second stage of the reconstruction of the apron and the development of a PSD for the reconstruction of the artificial runway of the airport. In this direction, the region is already working with the Federal Air Transport Agency within the framework of the instructions of the head of state.
