Mikhail Kotyukov, Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, took part in the events of the interregional conference. At the plenary session, the head of the region made a report on the strategic partnership between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The Governor noted that the republic and the region traditionally have a lot in common.

Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Mikhail Kotyukov: "Dear friends, we are connected by a common history, a common culture. In the regional archives there is a poster of performances by Krasnoyarsk creative teams in Bishkek, which gathered full halls 70 years ago. Several generations of our citizens have been brought up on the works of the famous Soviet and Kyrgyz writer Chingiz Aitmatov, and today film screenings and exhibitions dedicated to his work are taking place in Krasnoyarsk. After the Great Patriotic War, regional farmers sent wagons with potato seeds to the young republic as support for the development of agriculture. All this, of course, is already our common history, but it was then that the foundations were laid for further strengthening our fraternal relations."

The Governor of the region sees prospects for the development of cooperation, in particular, in the areas of industrial cooperation between enterprises of the region and the Kyrgyz Republic, in the implementation of investment projects and technology exchange, in the agro-industrial complex, metallurgy, chemical industry, mechanical engineering and tourism.

Mikhail Kotyukov recalled that more than 200 large investment projects are being implemented in the region, in which more than 15 trillion rubles should be invested by 2030. He invited entrepreneurs and companies from Kyrgyzstan to become residents of special economic zones of the Siberian region. The participants of the conference were welcomed by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin and the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov, they sent their addresses to the delegates.

The heads of delegations also made presentations: on the Russian side – Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexey Overchuk, and on the Kyrgyz side – Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers – Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov.

At the stand of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the head of the region presented the technological, investment and tourism potential of Krasnoyarsk to Alexey Overchuk and Akylbek Zhaparov. Cooperation agreements were signed at the conference. A memorandum of intent on cooperation between the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Batken region of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of industry, agriculture, education, youth policy, culture, sports and tourism was signed by Mikhail Kotyukov and the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Batken region Abdikarim Alimbayev.

The parties will develop mutually beneficial ties in the fields of industry, agriculture, education, youth policy, culture, sports and tourism, and stimulate contacts between representatives of the business circles of the regions.
