The forum "Supporting Cities of Russia" has started its work in Minusinsk. The Forum is supported by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation with the participation of a wide range of scientific, expert and business communities, as well as government representatives at the federal, regional and municipal levels.
The business program of the forum was opened by a presentation of development programs for the main cities of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Before the performance of the teams of Kansk, Achinsk, Lesosibirsk and Minusinsk, the head of Norilsk, Dmitry Karasev, and the director of the Krasnoyarsk representative office of Norilsk, Sergey Tkachenko, shared positive practices in the development of Norilsk as a reference city of the Arctic zone of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
During the presentations of the development programs of Kansk, Achinsk, Lesosibirsk and Minusinsk, the heads of the main cities, business representatives and active youth presented their vision of the development of municipalities until 2035. The teams talked about the development of infrastructure, the implementation of investment projects, tourism potential, and the implementation of programs in the field of youth policy. After the presentations, the heads of the main cities answered the questions of the jury members, which included representatives of government authorities and development institutions. The questions concerned attracting investors to the territory of municipalities, holding significant events in the main cities. The teams were also asked to consider options for interaction between all four cities in order to complement each other's development programs and achieve maximum economic and social impact.
Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Mikhail Kotyukov: "The idea to actively work on the development of support cities originated with us last year, here in Minusinsk, at the site of the investment forum. Today we already have some experience in this area, and this experience is the best in the country. The main thing now is not to lose leadership positions."
Summing up, the head of the region announced a proposal to allocate grants for the development of each of the four main cities and launch a special program for municipal teams based on the Institute of State and Municipal Management under the Government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
