Minusinsk hosted the Support Cities of Russia forum, a federal platform where more than 50 experts and about 500 participants discussed the prospects for the development of the support cities of our country.

20.08.2024

An important outcome of the forum was the signing of agreements. In total, 7 documents were signed: among them, agreements on cooperation in the implementation of investment projects worth more than 3.2 billion rubles, and agreements on friendship and cooperation between cities.

Thus, an agreement on socio-economic cooperation was signed between the administration of Achinsk and JSC RUSAL Achinsk for 2024-2026. The document was signed by the head of Achinsk Igor Titenkov and Managing Director of Achinsk Alumina Plant Vitaly Prigarin. Within three years, the company's social investments will amount to 459.2 million rubles. Within the framework of the agreement, a number of projects will be implemented aimed at the development of education, sports, culture, healthcare and the formation of a comfortable urban environment.

The head of Achinsk Igor Titenkov: "This agreement reinforces RUSAL's intention to systematically develop the city, supporting priority and significant areas for Achinsk. It is no coincidence that the Achinsk alumina plant bears the name of the city-forming enterprise: it is not only the main taxpayer and the main employer, the plant actively supports the development of the city. Significant funds are allocated for the logistical support of the social sphere, the development of infrastructure and the urban environment. Many of the projects we have implemented would not have been possible without RUSAL's participation. We are grateful to the company for its responsible, thoughtful and systematic approach to cooperation."

Agreements were also signed between the administration of Kansk and Sibpromizol LLC on cooperation in the framework of the investment project "Production of light mineral wool insulation"; between the administration of Lesosibirsk and JSC "Management Company" of the Biochemical Holding "ORGHIM" on cooperation in the framework of the investment project "Creation of the industrial park "ORGHIM"; between the administration of Shushenskoye the district and the head of the Peasant farm Natalia Zubareva on cooperation in the framework of an investment project to create a dairy farm.

Another document signed at the forum was a cooperation agreement between the Krasnoyarsk regional regional branch of the all-Russian public organization "Business Russia" and the Association of Heads of Local Government "South".

As a result of the forum "Supporting Cities of Russia", Minusinsk and the resort city of Kislovodsk of the Stavropol Territory became twin cities. The agreement on friendship and cooperation between the cities was signed by the head of Kislovodsk Evgeny Moiseev and the head of Minusinsk Dmitry Merkulov. The parties consolidated their intentions to establish bilateral ties in the field of economic, scientific, technical, cultural and other fields of activity.

The head of Kislovodsk Evgeny Moiseev: "We have never had friendly relations with the cities of Siberia. The new cooperation will provide an opportunity to effectively interact in various fields of activity, share experiences, hold joint exhibitions, conferences, and expand domestic tourism. Such close cooperation with cities in other parts of Russia is very important, because we unite the hearts of our residents, residents of various regions of our vast country. And this is one of the main tasks of the local government."

In addition, an agreement of intent on cooperation was signed between Minusinsk and the city of Velikiye Luki, located in the Pskov region. The document was signed by the head of Minusinsk Dmitry Merkulov and the head of the administration of Velikiye Luki Andrey Belyaev. The agreements reached will allow the two cities not only to exchange cultural experiences, but also to develop economic relations, implement joint projects, cooperate in the field of education, tourism, entrepreneurship and others.

It should be recalled that the forum "Supporting Cities of Russia" was held in Minusinsk with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation with the participation of a wide range of scientific, expert and business communities, as well as government representatives at the federal, regional and municipal levels. The agenda of the forum was devoted to topical issues of the development of supporting cities and settlements, which are the basis of Russia's spatial development.
