Chinese investors intend to take part in the development of magnesite deposits in the Krasnoyarsk Territory

A number of meetings of the delegation of entrepreneurs from the People's Republic of China took place in Krasnoyarsk. These include negotiations with representatives of regional authorities, the Krasnoyarsk Regional regional office The All-Russian public organization "Business Russia", as well as the presentation of investment proposals in the territory of the Krasnoyarsk Territory to the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation.
Representatives of Liaoning China Magnesium Group Co., Ltd, headed by Chairman Fu Changhao, became interested in a project to develop deposits of magnesite in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The company is the largest manufacturer of refractory materials in China, engaged in the extraction and processing of magnesites worldwide. In addition, it serves the steel, non-ferrous metallurgy, glass and cement industries of the People's Republic of China.
In total, 6 deposits of magnesite with total reserves of 364,780 thousand tons have been recorded in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. All these deposits are located on the territory of the Motyginsky district. Two are currently available for development – Verkhoturovskoye and Kardakanskoye. Mining is carried out in a quarry (open-pit) way.
Representatives of Liaoning China Magnesium Group Co., Ltd expressed interest in developing their business in the region, in particular in the extraction of magnesite ores with further processing and sale of products in the markets of the Russian Federation and China.
