As part of the implementation of the investment project included in the Yenisei Siberia KIP, the Krasnoyarsk Railway commissioned a new software and hardware complex at the Koshurnikovo station, which is located on the mountain-taiga section of the Southern Course Mezhdurechensk - Taishet in the Kuraginsky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

16.09.2024

At Koshurnikovo station, railway workers replaced outdated relay circuits with digital technologies based on a microprocessor centralization system. In total, 64 train and shunting traffic lights and 55 switches were switched to digital control. More than 150 specialists were involved in the work. The transition to digital will automate the process of controlling train traffic and shunting operation of Koshurnikovo station, as well as ensure high reliability of railway automation.

The commander of the Red Army Alexey Tumanin: "Koshurnikovo station is located on the mountain-taiga section of the Southern course of Mezhdurechensk – Tayshet, which can be called one of the most difficult in the entire direction. Before switching to new equipment, it was functioning at the limit of its capabilities. Now the smooth operation of railway automation has been ensured and the potential for further technical development has been created. We plan to complete the main stages of the modernization of the station by the end of 2024 simultaneously with the opening of double–track traffic on the adjacent section of the 557 km - Koshurnikovo siding. This will eliminate another bottleneck on the Southern Route."

The modernization of the Koshurnikovo station is carried out in conditions of maintaining train traffic. Upon completion of all work, the capacity of the station and the adjacent section of the 557 km – Koshurnikovo siding will increase by 80%.

The investment project "Increasing the throughput of the Artyshta – Mezhdurechensk – Taishet section", included in the Yeniseiskaya Sibir KIP, involves increasing the throughput and carrying capacity of the section, as well as improving traffic efficiency through new construction and reconstruction of public infrastructure.
