As part of the visit of the regional delegation to Shanghai (China), the International Investment Forum of Cooperation between the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the People's Republic of China was held.
Sergey Vereshchagin, First Deputy Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Chairman of the Government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, addressed the participants of the event with a welcoming speech. He stressed that since 2020, China has been ranked first among the region's trading partners.
First Deputy Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory – Chairman of the Government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Sergey Vereshchagin: "Over the past 5 years, we have made a qualitative breakthrough and increased our trade turnover by more than 2 times, and by the end of the first half of 2024 – by 50%. We have something to offer our Chinese partners. Our enterprises are actively modernizing their production lines and, when launching new productions, are ready to use technologies and advanced equipment manufactured in China. Among the strategic directions of our partnership, we can highlight the expansion of the range of non-primary exports, the creation of joint ventures and the implementation of investment projects."
Sergey Ladyzhenko, General Director of the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation, told the participants about the economic and investment opportunities of the region. He presented the initiatives of the largest industrial companies that are being implemented within the framework of the integrated investment project "Yenisei Siberia", and also presented the investment opportunities of the Krasnoyarsk Territory in various industries.
Sergey Ladyzhenko, General Director of the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation: "Speaking about the investment activity of our region, it is worth noting that over the past 5 years the Krasnoyarsk Territory has demonstrated steady growth in the volume of investments in fixed assets, occupies a leading position in the Siberian Federal District and is among the top 7 subjects of the Russian Federation in this indicator. This year, the steady growth of investments in the economy of the region continues, which indicates the progressive development of the region's economy and a favorable climate for investors."
The presentation of the economic and investment potential of the Krasnoyarsk Territory gathered over 200 people, of whom more than 150 were representatives of Chinese business.
The signing of agreements was a significant outcome of the forum. Thus, documents on cooperation and interaction were signed between the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation and the Chinese Chamber of Commerce for International Cooperation in the Private sector, the General Chamber of Commerce of the Xuzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, the Chinese company Liaoning China Magnesium Holdings Co., Ltd., as well as a multilateral agreement between the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation, LLCSHP "Gifts of the Robin", the Liaozhong Economic Development Zone and the enterprise management company "The Way of the Dragon".
In addition, a cooperation agreement and an export contract for the supply of unrefined rapeseed oil were signed between Zheng Dong Corporation and Sibagro-SM LLC. Cooperation agreements were also reached between SMP SOYUZ LLC and the Chinese company Jiangsu Chip Way Electronics Technology Co., Ltd; the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Russian-Chinese Chamber for Trade Promotion of Machine-Technical and Innovative Products.
During the visit to Shanghai, representatives of the region held meetings and negotiations with Chinese companies on the implementation of projects in such areas as the production of building materials from sawmill waste and aluminum products, microelectronics, agriculture, pulp and paper industry. The regional delegation also visited an innovative robotic production facility and a large trading platform for industrial equipment.
