ROSSETI has completed a set of works related to the external power supply of new enterprises at the Veduga (Amikan Mining Company) and Blagodatnoye (Polyus Krasnoyarsk) fields. The construction of the facilities is carried out within the framework of the integrated investment project "Yenisei Siberia". The total cost of the work amounted to 9.7 billion rubles.

29.11.2024

On the 220 kV double–chain power transmission line "Priangarskaya – Razdolinskaya" (in total - 345 km), power engineers mounted a new wire with increased capacity. New approaches of the 220 kV Razdolinskaya – Taiga transmission line to the Amikan substation have also been built.  Another autotransformer was introduced at the key power center of the North Yenisei district - 220 kV Taiga, which allowed to increase the installed capacity by 1.5 times. Static capacitor banks have also been introduced at power facilities and emergency automation systems have been upgraded at four nodal power supply centers in the Lower Angara region.

As a result, the Amikan GRC (part of the Polymetal structure) received 15.2 MW of power from the Unified National Electric Grid. The volume of technological connection of Polyus Krasnoyarsk increased by 129 MW and amounted to 177 MW.

Director of the Krasnoyarsk branch of Polymetal Evgeny Pushnoy: "We expect that in the first quarter of 2025, the volume of stripping operations at the Veduginsky field quarries will increase. This is necessary to prepare the ore for extraction and subsequent processing at the concentrator, which is scheduled to launch in 2026. Our plans are based, among other things, on the developed energy infrastructure of the North Yenisei region."

As noted by Sergey Ladyzhenko, General Director of the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation, the prospects for the development of the northern territories of the region are primarily related to the implementation of large-scale investment projects, including in the field of gold mining.

Sergey Ladyzhenko, General Director of the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation: "The largest part of gold production in the region is accounted for by The North Yenisei district. Within the framework of the Yeniseiskaya Sibir KIP, a number of projects are being implemented here to increase mining and processing capacities by Polyus Krasnoyarsk, Sovrudnik, Amikan, etc. All of them provide significant effects for the economy of the region in terms of capital investments, job creation and tax deductions to budgets of all levels. The successful implementation of projects largely depends on the formation of a reliable and efficient energy infrastructure."

The new equipment is manufactured in Russia. It is characterized by high reliability and small dimensions, which is especially important given the difficult delivery to the northern regions of the region.
