A new electric filter was put into operation at Krasnoyarsk CHPP-1 along with the built boiler unit. The equipment upgrade is part of a large–scale investment project of the Siberian Generating Company (SGC) for the ecological modernization of the plant. This initiative is part of the Yenisei Siberia CIP.
The capture efficiency of the new electrostatic precipitator is at least 99%. 11 such installations have already been built at CHPP-1. After the commissioning of all the planned 15 electrostatic precipitators, the total emissions of the plant will decrease by 20%, and by 80% for solid particles.
A new boiler unit has also been put into operation at the station, and another one is undergoing commissioning. Two boilers at Krasnoyarsk CHPP-1 began to be built in November 2021 to replace the old dismantled equipment. Work is underway without stopping the station. The efficiency of the new devices is almost 1.5% higher than the previous ones, which will allow energy companies to use fuel more efficiently.
The environmental modernization of Krasnoyarsk CHPP-1 began in 2018 with the dismantling of three old chimneys, which freed up space for the construction of electric filters. They replace existing environmental protection installations – battery cyclones. The total investment in the renovation of Krasnoyarsk TPP-1 will amount to 22 billion rubles.
