A business session "City of Development" was held in Krasnoyarsk, organized by the Business Quarter publication. The event was attended by representatives of government, business and the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation. At the discussion platforms, they discussed urban change projects, key initiatives and plans.
Olga Korosteleva, General Director of the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation, spoke at the plenary session about the investment and economic potential of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, as well as about preparations for the 400th anniversary of Krasnoyarsk.
– One of the Corporation's tasks is to cooperate with large businesses to implement projects dedicated to the 400th anniversary of the city. These are initiatives for infrastructure development, the creation of new facilities and public spaces. Agreements have already been signed with 7 companies, and we plan to sign as many more," Olga Korosteleva said.
In particular, RUSAL has built medical and sports centers, is carrying out environmental modernization of KRAZ, Polyus is developing the infrastructure of the Krasny Yar rugby club, Sibinvest will build a multifunctional five-star hotel complex, Severnaya Zvezda will create a new modern playground, Norilsk Nickel will open a new plant for the production and repair of underground mining equipment. According to Olga Korosteleva, the list of large-scale projects for the 400th anniversary will be replenished. In addition, representatives of the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation participated in round tables at the business session site. Vyacheslav Polishchuk, Advisor to the General Director of the Corporation, acted as an expert in the discussion on the topic "Production: from nouname to the brand of Siberia". He spoke about the operating cluster "Engineering of Siberia", whose participants are provided with a package of preferences, such as a loan at a discounted rate of up to 100 billion rubles, reduced insurance premium rates, subsidies for reimbursement of costs for the purchase of components, and others. The management organization of the cluster is the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation.
At the round table "Foreign economic activity: current challenges and promising directions, taking into account the specifics of the economy of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Effective Business Solutions" was presented by Natalia Abramova, Deputy General Director and Head of the External Economic Activity Service of the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation. She spoke about the export structure of the region, noting that the key items are metallurgy, chemical industry and forestry products. Special attention was paid to the role of small and medium-sized businesses: today, SMEs account for less than 10% of regional exports. This trend indicates the potential for growth. To increase the involvement of enterprises, the Corporation implements special events, including the organization of international visits and other initiatives aimed at expanding the presence of Krasnoyarsk companies in foreign markets.
