The power engineers of the Siberian Generating Company (SGC), under the supervision of specialists from equipment manufacturers, are carrying out commissioning work on the steam boiler and turbine unit of the second power unit of the Krasnoyarsk CHPP–3 under construction. The facility is being prepared for testing, the final stage before operation begins.
During the commissioning work, employees set up and check all the systems of the new power unit. After that, the equipment will undergo comprehensive tests with the participation of the state attestation commission. Their task is to confirm that the units can operate within the specified parameters.
Just like the first, the second power unit of CHPP-3 is equipped with a modern electrostatic precipitator with an efficiency of cleaning solid particles above 99%. The commissioning of the facility will almost double the capacity of the Krasnoyarsk TPP-3, adding 185 MW of the installed capacity of the station. This will provide an opportunity to increase electricity production for the Siberian energy system and provide additional heat to actively developing urban areas.
The construction of the second power unit of the Krasnoyarsk CHPP-3 is part of the SGK investment project for the development of the Krasnoyarsk heat supply system. This initiative is included in the KIP "Yenisei Siberia".
