The design documentation for the first stage of construction of an underground mine at the Veduginsky deposit in the Krasnoyarsk Territory has received a positive conclusion from the Glavgosexpertiza of Russia. The investment project included in the Yenisei Siberia CIP is being implemented by the Amikan mining company (part of Polymetal).
The Veduginsky field production site is located 520 km north of Krasnoyarsk and 32 km from the village of Bryanka in the North Yenisei region. At the first stage of the mine's construction, it is planned to create a mining complex for underground mining of gold-bearing ore at a depth of up to 305 meters. The total volume of mining and capital works will amount to 293.16 thousand m3.
The project provides for the creation of all necessary infrastructure for safe underground gold mining at the mine site. It is planned to place an administrative and household complex with a control room, fire protection systems, energy and ventilation equipment, on-site roads and other communications.
In general, the Veduga deposit development project includes open-pit and underground mining operations, as well as the construction of a processing plant with a capacity of 2.2 million tons of ore per year and all auxiliary infrastructure.
