The new resident of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation in the territory of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, LLC Norilsk Voyage, will organize passenger transportation along the Yenisei-Pyasinsky watershed, including on the Putorana plateau.
The company received the status of a resident of the Arctic zone with the assistance of the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation and the Norilsk Development Agency.
The investment project of the Norilsk Voyage company at the first stage involves the purchase of a small vessel and obtaining a license for passenger transportation. The company plans to start transportation in early June 2023.
As part of the second stage of the investment project, the company plans to create a tourist base with boathouses. The first floor of the boathouses is intended for temporary storage of small vessels, on the second floor there will be a hotel for short-term accommodation of transit tourists traveling on the company's small vessels along inland waterways, including the Putorana plateau.
The construction of a new tourist facility will be carried out on the banks of a stream flowing into the Norilsk River, within walking distance from the Valek landing site and a water pier on the river.
The company plans to implement the project by 2033, with a total investment of about 40 million rubles. As part of the project, 10 new jobs will be created
"The company has already started implementing the agreed schedule. The first small vessel with a capacity of 6 passengers was purchased. Next year, it is planned to expand the fleet, a second small vessel with a capacity of up to 12 people will be purchased. As a result of the implementation of the investment project, the company will be able to transport more than 3,800 passengers per year, and the tourist base with boathouses will accommodate about 1,000 tourists per year," said Vitaly Saiko, General Director of Norilsk Voyage LLC.
Recall that the Russian Arctic is the largest economic zone with a single set of tax and administrative preferences for conducting investment activities. Currently, 28 residents are implementing their projects in the Arctic zone of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, and the total investment amount is 37.2 billion rubles. The functions of the management company for working with residents of the Arctic zone in the Krasnoyarsk Territory are performed by the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation.
An agreement was signed between the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation and the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation aimed at implementing joint projects in the field of sustainable development of the Arctic territories of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The document provides for the joint development of recommendations to improve the quality of life of the population, as well as joint participation in activities related to the implementation of investment projects in the Arctic zone of the region.
