Last week, preparations for the 400th anniversary of Krasnoyarsk were discussed at the XXI Krasnoyarsk City Forum. The discussion was organized by the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation. The discussion was built around two themes: involving the residents of the city in the process of preparing for the celebration and developing a conceptual image of the future celebration.
During the panel discussion on the involvement of residents, the public and business in the preparations for the anniversary, proposals were made for financial support, participation in the preparation of the anniversary celebration concept, urban landscaping and other ideas.
Successful practices of preparing for the anniversary of other Russian cities were presented at the site. Thus, during the preparations for the 800th anniversary of Nizhny Novgorod, the main focus was on charitable projects – the social program "800 good deeds" was implemented. In Yekaterinburg, business has made a great contribution to the implementation of projects created at the request of citizens, and in Perm, on the 300th anniversary of the city, a social fund was created to support anniversary programs.
Now in Krasnoyarsk, the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation, together with the Regional Government and the Krasnoyarsk City Administration, is already actively working to attract sponsors to participate in projects planned for the anniversary of the city.
Valeria Stupina, Deputy Head of the Investment Attraction Directorate of the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation: "One of the Corporation's tasks is to cooperate with large businesses to implement projects dedicated to the 400th anniversary of the city. These are initiatives for infrastructure development, the creation of new facilities and public spaces. 10 agreements have already been signed between the government of the region and such large companies as RUSAL, Norilsk Nickel, Polymetal, RusHydro, the Andrey Melnichenko Charitable Foundation (SUEK JSC) and others. Most of them have already decided on the list of projects that they will implement."
At the discussion platform "The Image of the Jubilee: a conceptual view", experts in the field of management, media and marketing, as well as representatives of government authorities discussed what semantic and visual image Krasnoyarsk should represent in the year of its historic anniversary. The focus turned to the issues of finding a unifying symbol, key values and adaptation for different target audiences. The participants emphasized the need to create long-term meanings that will remain relevant after the anniversary year.
Yulia Filatova, Deputy Head of the Administration of the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory: "The key task in preparing for the anniversary of Krasnoyarsk is to create a unifying idea, an image of the future, and a dream. We must answer the questions: "what unites us?", "what do we want?", "what do we believe in?". It is also very important to involve residents and businesses in the promotion of the city, so that everyone becomes a conduit for common ideas and meanings. Here we can talk about the design of storefronts, facades, courtyards by entrepreneurs, as well as films, drawings and essays by schoolchildren, personal pages on social networks. We need to "infect" everyone with the idea that Krasnoyarsk is about development and the future."
During the discussions, the experts came to the conclusion that the 400th anniversary of Krasnoyarsk is not just an anniversary, it is a point of growth that will give an impetus to the development of the city. Projects in various fields will create new jobs, ensure investments, and contribute to creating a comfortable urban environment.
