A project for the construction of a rapeseed processing plant was presented in Nazarovo. The event was attended by representatives of the investor – the Legendagro Group of Companies, the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation, deputies of the City Council, members of the city's Public Council, as well as public figures and local entrepreneurs.
The enterprise in Nazarovo will become the first modern rapeseed oil extraction plant in Eastern Siberia. The planned volume of investments in the project is over 6 billion rubles. The design capacity of the plant will be about 330 thousand tons per year, including the planned production of more than 140 thousand tons of hydrated rapeseed oil, more than 180 thousand tons of rapeseed meal and more than 2 thousand tons of rapeseed lecithin. The construction and launch of the enterprise are planned for 2025. As a result of the project, more than 350 new jobs will be created.
According to representatives of the Legendagro group of companies, one of the prerequisites for the implementation of the project was an increase in rapeseed production in the south of Eastern Siberia over the past 10 years, as well as high demand for this oilseed crop. Rapeseed oil and lecithin are planned to be exported to the countries of Northeast Asia, and rapeseed meal is to be sold on the Russian market and exported to the countries of Central and Central Asia, as well as to foreign countries.

The advantageous location of the region near the main consumers of rapeseed processing products makes it attractive for investment in this area. For the successful implementation of the project, support from the region is important to us, including in building cooperation with local reliable suppliers of goods, works and services, as well as in cooperation with educational institutions on the training of necessary specialists," said Dmitry Savenkov, CEO of Legendagro Group.
