On May 19, the All-Russian forum "Improving Labor Productivity" was held in Krasnoyarsk, at the National Center "Russia". The forum was operated by the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation.

20.05.2026

The event was attended by Alexander Novak, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Kotyukov, Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, and representatives of regional authorities and businesses. The forum discussed approaches that should form the basis for further economic growth.

Alexander Novak, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation: "On behalf of the President of Russia, the Government has developed and approved a plan for structural changes in the Russian economy until 2030. The first and central section of the plan is to change the employment structure and ensure labor market flexibility, according to which it is necessary to free up human resources from low–productivity sectors and direct them to priority sectors – manufacturing, information technology, tourism, and creative industries."

Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Economic Development, speaking at the plenary session, noted that domestic enterprises constantly have to work on their competitiveness, profit growth, and cost reduction. The work here should be carried out on three levels: the introduction of lean manufacturing, the replication of boxed solutions for small and microenterprises, and regulatory changes.

Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov: "We need to expand our reach and understand how to improve metrics and fine-tune mechanisms in this area. The growth trajectory of our economy now depends on labor productivity. We have created a powerful support network in the format of federal and regional competence centers that are able to interact with specific enterprises. This work is under special Government control."

Mikhail Kotyukov, Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory: "At the moment, 150 of the largest companies in the region have gone through the first stage of modernization of their production processes, have been able to increase production performance and have begun to expand their production facilities. More than 60% of the participants exceeded the planned productivity growth target of 5%. The specialists of our regional competence center, which is one of the top five in Russia, help the enterprises in this. 300 instructors and 3,500 specialists directly involved in production processes have been trained."

The proposals formed during the forum will be finalized and included in the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy".
