Alexander Novak, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, held a visiting meeting of the federal organizing committee for the preparation and holding of the celebration of the 400th anniversary of Krasnoyarsk. Together with Mikhail Kotyukov, Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, and representatives of federal and regional executive authorities, he assessed the progress of work on infrastructure facilities in the regional capital included in the anniversary preparation plan.

20.05.2026

A key project for the development of Krasnoyarsk's transport infrastructure is the construction of a subway tramway. The length of the first line will be just over 11 km: the route will include 6 stations. Round-the-clock work is carried out both on the surface, where the pits of the station complexes are being prepared, and underground. Since September 2024, about 7.5 out of 23.4 km of single-track tunnels have been completed. Alexander Novak and Mikhail Kotyukov assessed the progress of construction on the most difficult site, in the Oktyabrsky district. There is a tunnel built in Soviet times on the stretch from Vysotnaya station to Kopylova Street. Experts have found a technical solution and included it in a modern project. In 5 months, 92 meters have been traversed here using the classic mining method. The station on Kopylova will become the only station on the line with a deep-laid tramway.

One of the iconic objects that is being built to mark the 400th anniversary of Krasnoyarsk is the Surikov Center cultural space. The current readiness of the building is 46%. The work is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2027. The Center will open halls equipped with modern equipment for permanent and temporary exhibitions, a lecture and concert hall, an art workshop, a library, a work area for visitors, and storage facilities. According to Sergey Vereshchagin, the head of Krasnoyarsk, in January 2028, the center will host celebrations dedicated to the 180th anniversary of V.I. Surikov.

In the city center, representatives of the organizing committee inspected cultural heritage sites, the facades of which are subject to restoration, and assessed the landscaping in the Central Park of Krasnoyarsk, which is being conducted by RUSAL. During the reconstruction, new pedestrian paths, a skate park, playgrounds have been built here, small architectural forms have been installed and part of the green spaces has been renovated.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak: "I visited the park a year ago and I can't help but note that serious changes have taken place at this facility. The park has been transformed for the better, while retaining its special atmosphere."

He gave representatives of the federal ministries a number of instructions for each facility. In particular, for the modernization of the Krasnoyarsk Racetrack, it is necessary to determine the source of funding as soon as possible and to detail the roadmap.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak: "The main purpose of the work is not the celebration itself, but the renewal of the city and the improvement of the quality of life of Krasnoyarsk residents. All the facilities that we visited today are being built and reconstructed for this very purpose. There are still questions about some projects, we will look for solutions so that all planned initiatives are implemented in a timely manner. Today, during the visit to the facilities, in my opinion, the organizing committee made the right effective decisions that will ensure a new look for the city for many years."

The meeting of the organizing committee at the Rossiya National Center was attended by representatives of large state corporations. The companies undertake the repair and reconstruction of social infrastructure facilities, the construction of hotel complexes, sports centers, parks and squares, and the improvement of public spaces. More than 11 agreements worth more than 14 billion rubles have been signed. Currently, the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation continues to work on attracting sponsors to participate in projects planned for the anniversary of the city.

Mikhail Kotyukov, Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory: "We have already completed work on 20 events totaling more than 18 billion rubles in preparation for the 400th anniversary. Krasnoyarsk residents see the first results of the city's anniversary preparation program: the Rossiya National Center, the Victory Memorial, modern schools, renovation of the historical center, environmentally friendly transport, new roads — development is proceeding in all directions, and we are not going to stop there. At the same time, there are more and more objects of reconstruction, renovation and modernization. For most of them, we have found the resources to carry out the work and the selection of contractors is already underway. We will monitor both at the local level and at the level of the federal organizing committee. I am sure that we will fulfill all the tasks facing the city and the region."

During a working visit to Krasnoyarsk, Alexander Novak, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Kotyukov, Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Viktor Tomenko, Governor of the Altai Territory, Sergey Vereshchagin, Head of Krasnoyarsk, and representatives of the federal organizing committee paid tribute to the memory of the heroes of Krasnoyarsk who fell in the Great Patriotic War by laying flowers at the Eternal Flame of the Victory Memorial.
