A network of underground workings is being expanded at the Veduginsky deposit in the North Yenisei Municipal District of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The investment project for the development of the deposit with the construction of an enrichment plant is being implemented by the mining company Amikan (part of Polymetal JSC). The initiative is included in the comprehensive investment project "Yenisei Siberia".
To date, the penetration has reached 1,000 linear meters. The mine already employs more than 100 specialists, and 15 mining equipment units are involved. All machines are equipped with a package for operation at low temperatures, fire extinguishing systems and Red Zone lighting. Uninterrupted operation of the mine safety system is also ensured in the tunnels.
"We are creating a new processing complex in the Krasnoyarsk Territory that will allow us to obtain gold from the stubborn ore of a deposit discovered half a century ago," said Evgeny Pushnoy, director of the Krasnoyarsk branch of Polymetal. – Veduga quarry has already reached the planned production targets. Next up is the mine. The commissioning works at the processing plant are under completion and after launch it will process 2.2 million tons of ore per year. The new production facility was created almost from scratch, thanks in part to the support of our partners, the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation."
The launch of the Veduga factory is scheduled for the second half of 2026.
