The commissioning of the first stage of the North Bay port of the Vostok Oil project is scheduled for September. This was announced by the head of Rosneft, Igor Sechin, during the annual shareholders' meeting.

"Upon completion of our work here in Vladivostok, I have planned a visit to the Vostok Oil project, and we will ensure the completion of the docking work on the oil pipeline. And we expect that in September we will have the opportunity to report on the commissioning of the first stage of the port in Sever Bay," Igor Sechin said.

According to him, the construction of an oil pipeline with a total length of 790 km is being completed.

"A high–tech and safe underwater crossing over the Yenisei River has been built, which is made in a double-stranded design with a length of 5.7 km each," the head of the company noted, adding that the pipeline was laid at a depth of about 50 meters with a depth of up to 8 meters into the river bottom.

Vostok Oil– Rosneft's flagship project located in Taimyr, includes 52 licensed areas in the north of the Krasnoyarsk Territory and in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, where 13 oil and gas fields are located, both the already developed fields of the Vankor Group and new ones.
