The first stage of ore preparation at the Chernogorsky Mining and Processing Complex (GOK) was launched in the Krasnoyarsk Territory with the participation of a government delegation. The project provides for the production of copper and nickel concentrates with a high content of platinum and palladium, which makes it strategically important for the development of high–tech sectors of the economy, from electronics to shipbuilding, aviation and mechanical engineering. In five years, the entire production infrastructure has been created in the Far North. The first ore has already been sent through the production line. By the end of the year, the company will receive the first commercial concentrates: copper and nickel. In total, the first stage of the plant will be able to process from 7 million tons of ore per year.

Dmitry Grigorenko, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Economic Development of Russia, Mikhail Kotyukov, Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, and Musa Bazhaev, President of Alliance Group JSC, took part in the launch of the first stage of ore preparation at the Chernogorsky GOK. The delegation checked the production readiness for launch and assessed how modern digital technologies are being implemented here. Mining operations management, control of machinery, monitoring of equipment and the use of artificial intelligence are already becoming part of the production process. It is precisely such solutions that determine the competitiveness of modern industry today.

Dmitry Grigorenko, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia: "The Chernogorsky GOK is a large–scale project that is becoming a new source of raw materials for high–tech sectors of the economy, from electronics to shipbuilding, aviation and mechanical engineering. Moreover, it is implemented taking into account the requirements of the time. The use of digital technologies is one of them. The implementation of IT solutions makes it possible to significantly increase labor productivity, automate routine operations, optimize costs and improve quality. The Chernogorsky GOK uses systems that digitally manage mining operations and plan the movement of mining equipment. Artificial intelligence is also being actively introduced: it allows monitoring the operation of equipment, predicting possible deviations and preventing risks, which is especially important in such complex industrial facilities."

The creation of the first stage of the mining and processing plant will provide the region with about 1,600 new jobs. For the region, this is not only additional tax revenues, but also new career opportunities for residents.

Mikhail Kotyukov, Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory: "For the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the launch of the Chernogorsky GOK is another powerful impetus to the development of the Arctic territories and the strengthening of our industrial base. It is important that our specialists work at such high-tech enterprises. For our part, we will continue to create conditions for young people to build their careers here in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, and for the northern cities to receive modern infrastructure and a comfortable living environment."

For reference:

The project is aimed at implementing the Strategy for the Development of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation and ensuring National security for the period up to 2035. As part of the state support, Chernogorskaya GRK LLC, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia and the Government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory have concluded an agreement on the protection and promotion of investments, which assumes the invariability of tax and legal conditions for doing business for a period of 20 years. The Ministry of Finance of Russia, the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia and LLC Chernogorskaya GRK have also signed an investment agreement on the extraction of platinum group metals.
