Mikhail Kotyukov informed Vladimir Putin about key development projects in the Krasnoyarsk Territory
During the bilateral meeting, Governor Mikhail Kotyukov reported to President Vladimir Putin on the socio-economic situation in the region. The focus is on the implementation of national and investment projects, infrastructure development, and personnel training for scientific and technological industries.
The economy of the Krasnoyarsk Territory is one of the largest in the country. The region is among the top ten regions in terms of key indicators, with a 50% increase in GRP over the past five years. The basis of economic development is export-oriented industrial production. The largest enterprises in the region continue to implement investment projects: the development of the Norilsk Industrial district, the modernization of an aluminum plant, a heat supply renovation program that improves air quality in Krasnoyarsk, and the expansion of gold mining operations in the Angara region.
Mikhail Kotyukov noted that the budget is being implemented steadily. In 2024, the region has fully paid off its commercial debt and retains this position. Key tasks for national projects have been implemented. The Krasnoyarsk Territory is one of the ten largest regions in terms of their implementation. New schools, kindergartens, clinics, sports facilities, roads and public spaces are being built, which creates comfortable living conditions.
The Governor paid special attention to scientific and technological development. The State Council's commission on Technological leadership has defined a program for the scientific and technological development of the region. Priority areas: satellite engineering, energy, bioeconomics, metallurgy and catalytic chemistry. Together with RESHETNEV JSC, tasks for the national space development project have been formed and a technological map has been compiled.
Mikhail Kotyukov also reported on the progress of key infrastructure projects. The Krasnoyarsk metro is 33% ready, and five tunnel complexes are in operation, which have covered more than 10 of the 23 kilometers. The excavation pits and tunnel structures are 58% ready.
It is planned to build a second runway at Krasnoyarsk Airport. Modernization of the existing one is impossible without closing the airport. A design option has been found within the framework of the federal concession, the Ministry of Transport has approved the decision, and calculations are now being completed.
The meeting also discussed preparations for Krasnoyarsk's 400th anniversary, personnel issues, and the development of the education system.
Special attention is paid to the region's cooperation with new regions, volunteerism and support for its participants and their families. There are more than 40 support measures in the region: monthly payments to the children of the victims, scholarships, and hot meals for schoolchildren. A center for adaptive sports has been designed and is being built, and a center for prosthetic and orthopedic care is being created. The participants of the personnel program "Siberian character" joined the management team of the region.
Mikhail Kotyukov thanked the President for his attention to the development of the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the systematic support of regional initiatives.
