The Krasnoyarsk Territory stand at the Innoprom International exhibition was visited by Chairman of the Government of Russia Mikhail Mishustin, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Roman Golovchenko and Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov.
Governor Mikhail Kotyukov introduced them to the advanced developments of regional enterprises. In particular, Mikhail Kotyukov spoke about the Skif-D spacecraft, presented in its original size at the stand of the Krasnoyarsk Territory of the Innoprom exposition. The satellite was created to develop new technical solutions for broadband Internet access and protect the orbital frequency resource of the Russian Federation.
Mikhail Kotyukov, Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory:
"This is a fundamentally new technical solution, within the framework of which an entire satellite communication system is being created. A demonstration sample is presented at the edge's stand, exactly the same one is working in orbit right now. We plan to produce 12 such devices by 2027. As you know, the road with friends is always shorter, so in partnership with our friends we can implement these plans much faster and better. Kazakhstan and I already have experience of joint developments and there are devices that provide communication today. Skif-D is the next generation of satellites, while all critical nodes are made in the country: in Krasnodar, Rostov, Tomsk, Moscow and Krasnoyarsk."
Let's add that Skif-D became the first Russian satellite in an orbit with an altitude of 8000 kilometers. Compared to geostationary, this type of orbit has the advantage of transmitting a large amount of data with minimal time delays. The operation of the device will play an important role in the creation of a regular satellite system grouping that will provide high-speed Internet access in remote and hard-to-reach sparsely populated areas in Russia and beyond.
In total, 32 products from 27 companies in the region are presented at the stand of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
Sergey Ladyzhenko, General Director of the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation:
"The Krasnoyarsk Territory is actively involved in Innoprom, and an extremely important task for us is to present the products of our innovators in Kazakhstan, who have already reached industrial production volumes. Large enterprises, medium and small businesses are represented here. We are looking for partners, new sales markets, and opportunities for cooperation. The first results are already there: about 10 agreements are planned to be signed in the coming days."
During three days, representatives of government and business from different countries and expo guests will also demonstrate the investment, economic and scientific potential of the region at the exhibition site: projects of the Yenisei Siberia Research and Development Center, projects of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation, investment proposals and promising initiatives, advanced scientific developments, projects of the Yenisei Siberia REC. Special attention will be paid to the presentation of the tourist potential of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
