
Today, within the framework of the Innoprom international exhibition, which is being held in Kazakhstan, a presentation of the investment and economic potential of the Krasnoyarsk Territory took place. The presentation was made by Sergey Ladyzhenko, General Director of the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation.
In his speech, Sergey Ladyzhenko noted that by the end of 2022, the Krasnoyarsk Territory ranks 8th in terms of gross regional product and is one of the ten subjects of the Russian Federation that account for more than half of Russia's total GDP.
"Currently, 175 investment projects are supported by the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation, which is designated as a specialized organization for attracting investments and working with investors in the Krasnoyarsk Territory," said Sergey Ladyzhenko. – Over the past 3 years, the region has managed to make a powerful breakthrough and become one of the top five Russian leaders in terms of investment potential. In 2022, the volume of investments in the region's economy amounted to 8.2 billion dollars, which is 21.5% more than a year earlier."
Partners from Kazakhstan were invited to cooperate in the implementation of the Yenisei Siberia integrated investment project. In particular, industrial enterprises are offered to implement projects within the framework of the Krasnoyarsk Technological Valley special economic zone, and Kazakhstani air carriers are offered to include a transport and logistics hub based on Krasnoyarsk and Cheremshanka airports in the logistics of their companies.
The participants of the event were also told about the possibilities of trade and economic cooperation in the field of export and import between the Krasnoyarsk Territory and Kazakhstan. Currently, Kazakhstan is the main foreign trade partner of the region among the EAEU countries: the republic ranks 1st in terms of trade and 1st in exports. The volume of exports to Kazakhstan in 2022 increased 1.4 times compared to 2021 and amounted to more than 113.6 million dollars.
The main categories of products exported to Kazakhstan are precious stones, various types of equipment, inorganic chemical products, wood and aluminum.
Also, during the international event, nine cooperation agreements were signed between the authorities of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, companies of the region and business structures of Kazakhstan.
The representative office of the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation in the Republic of Kazakhstan started operating in Astana in 2023. The main purpose of the representative office is to promote the establishment, development and expansion of foreign economic activity in Yenisei Siberia with the regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Central Asia.
