The construction of the Vysokogorsky Bridge and approaches to it is being completed in the Yeniseysky district. The facility has been successfully tested by multi-ton trucks. The bridge construction project is included in the Yenisei Siberia Construction Project, and more than 7 billion rubles have been allocated from the federal and regional budgets for its implementation.
Specialists examined the main structural elements of the bridge – supports, superstructures, expansion joints, roadbed, drainage system, barrier and railings. After that, the main tests of the bridge spans began.
To measure the total displacement of structures and deflection of spans, 14 loaded dump trucks with a total weight of 35 tons each were lined up on the bridge in a different order. A total of 22 construction options have been implemented on all 10 spans of the bridge. The maximum load of the equipment on the bridge at the same time was 490 tons. The equipment was provided by JSC Polyus.Logistics".
Dynamic tests consisted of driving trucks through separate sections of the bridge. Experts measured the fluctuations of the spans and the rate of their attenuation during the passage of equipment both unhindered and through artificial irregularities, including at various speeds.
"Such tests are carried out only on large bridge structures classified as particularly dangerous, technically complex and unique individual design facilities. Of such facilities in the region, from 2008 to the present, we have commissioned three structures – the bridge over the Yenisei River bypassing Krasnoyarsk, the bridge over the Angara River in Boguchansky district, and the Nikolaevsky Bridge in Krasnoyarsk," said Andrey Zhuravlev, head of the KGKU Directorate of Highways in the Krasnoyarsk Territory
Based on the results of processing and analyzing the test results obtained for compliance of the actual parameters of the structure with the calculated ones, the commission will make an assessment on the possibility of putting the bridge into operation. In addition, a bridge passport and a scientific and technical report will be compiled on their basis.
The length of the finished structure will be almost 1,200 meters. The weight of the superstructures is more than 8000 tons. The roadway will be two-lane, and the estimated speed of traffic on the bridge will be approximately 80 km/h.
