The stationary and largest part of the generator of the second power unit under construction, the stator, was delivered to Krasnoyarsk CHPP-3 from Novosibirsk.

20.03.2023

The weight of the stator is 191 tons, it was manufactured at the Novosibirsk ELSIB plant. Currently, the specialists of the contracting organizations are preparing to assemble the generating equipment. The construction of the second power unit is carried out within the framework of the project to increase the capacity of the Krasnoyarsk CHPP-3, included in the Yeniseiskaya Sibir KIP.

Earlier, the rotating part of the generator, the rotor, had already arrived at the station. The supply of auxiliary components is expected in the near future. The turbine for the new power unit, manufactured at the Ural Turbine Plant, has also already been fully delivered to the station. Currently, specialists have started the enlarged assembly of its parts, input control and testing.

The declared capacity of the generator at the second power unit is 185 MW. According to experts, this is enough to carry the upcoming load and create a reserve. Experts plan to start installing the turbine and generator on the foundation next week, and complete this process by the end of 2023. In parallel, the construction of the walls of the boiler room and the installation of the boiler unit continues at the Krasnoyarsk CHPP-3. The construction should be completed by the end of 2024.

The construction of a new power unit, the cost of which is estimated at 27.5 billion rubles, will, according to experts, improve the quality and reliability of Krasnoyarsk's energy supply, create new opportunities for the development of the actively built-up Sovetsky district and the Pokrovka microdistrict. The launch will also allow to redistribute the load between the stations, withdraw part of the thermal capacity of the Krasnoyarsk CHPP-1 and provide a reserve for the development of the city.
