The specialists of the Yenisei Polymer company designed and put into production a flooring for railway crossings made of polymer-sand composite.
The Yenisei Polymer Company is a participant in the Our Champions project, which has been implemented by the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation since March 2022.
The flooring for railway crossings developed by the Yenisei Polymer company has a number of advantages over its analogues made of concrete and rubber. For example, concrete absorbs moisture and begins to crumble and crack at temperature changes, which is especially typical for regions with a sharply continental climate; rubber decking due to its soft structure has a high degree of wear and loss of technical characteristics, such as the appearance of ruts and delamination. Taking into account all these characteristics, the engineers of Yenisei Polymer have developed an innovative design: the polymer-sand composite does not absorb moisture, and the maximum weight of the element is 70 kg, which makes it easy to deliver it to any object.
"At the moment, the product is ready for use. Together with Russian Railways, a deck has already been installed at a railway crossing in the village of Svishchevo in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. In the future, it is planned to install 30 more structures in various regions of Russia," said Mikhail Kudelkin, General Director of Yenisei Polymer.
Recall that the purpose of the Our Champions project is to search for promising regional companies, their support in obtaining federal and regional support measures. As a result of the project, companies have the opportunity to reach a new level by increasing production volumes and opening new markets. The Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation also provides consulting and information support to participants.
